IMPACT Council

The IMPACT Council serves as the decision-making body for the Strategic Community Impact Plan initiative with the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Help to recruit individual focus groups
  • Serve on individual focus groups
  • Recommend additional statistical data
  • Serve as liaison between IMPACT Council and focus groups and possibly between individual focus groups
  • Discuss and vote on goal-setting for the final SCIP document
  • Help plan and implement event to introduce final SCIP goals and objectives
  • Serve as an advocate in all circumstances for the goals and objectives of SCIP

In setting community-wide goals, the IMPACT Council will use the following criteria:

  • Accomplishing the goal will significantly impact the quality of life in Washington County
  • Our community will care about this goal
  • Accomplishing this goal is possible considering the culture, resources and politics of our community
  • The ability to impact this goal is measurable
  • It is possible to impact this goal within five years
